James Thomas Whitlow, 62, of Opelika, AL passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm cst (3:00 pm est) Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Garden Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bill Berry officiating.

Mr. Whitlow was born January 10, 1956, son of the late Benjamin Whitlow and Jewel Hamby Whitlow. He was an ordained minister in the Affirming Pentecostal Church. After returning to Opelika several years ago, he joined the First Baptist Church in Opelika, AL.

Mr. Whitlow is survived by two sisters, Joanne Cork Sellers and husband Wayne of Opelika, AL and Patricia Vance of Phenix City, AL; two brothers, Carlton Whitlow and wife Mary of Opelika, AL and Tony Whitlow and wife Clita of Opelika, AL several extended family and friends.
