Obituary for James W. Bailey James W. Bailey, age 72, of the Embreville community in Erwin, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at his home. A native of Johnson City, he was a son of the late Howard and Essie (Laws) Bailey. He was a mechanic.

James liked to invent things and enjoyed camping and cooking out. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Gregg and brother, Harold Bailey. James W. Bailey leaves behind to cherish his memory: Wife of 50 years: Stella Ruth Bailey; Daughter: Christia Richardson and husband, Perry; Grandsons: Trevor Richardson, Seth Richardson, Jadon Richardson; Great-grandchildren: Kirah Richardson, Liam Richardson; Brother: Bobby Bailey; Sister: Marie Merritt; Several nieces and nephews.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of James W. Bailey in a funeral service to be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Otis Banks will officiate. Musical Selections will be provided by Sherry Tilson.

A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 1:00 PM and will continue until the hour of service at Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday. A committal service will follow in Bumpass Cove Cemetery. Those attending will meet at Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church for the 2:00 PM service to go in procession.

Pallbearers will be notified. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.
