James is survived by his: wife – Ramona Bateman Potts 3 sons – William Kenneth Potts Jay Samual Ray Potts Gregory Leon Potts daughter – Faith Vaughan 3 step-children – Scott Deardorff Steven Deardorff Stephanie Langeston sister – Kim McKnight and husband Jeff brother – James Billy “Junior” Taylor brother-in-law – Steve Butcher step-father – Waymon Butcher step-mother – Conita Potts 2 step-brothers – Burt Ferrell Mike Ferrell and wife Sherrie step-sister – Deanna Ferrell 3 grandsons 2 granddaughters many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In additon to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters Sherry Denise Owens and Lesa Faye Butcher. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home located at 415 North Chancery St. McMinnville, Tennessee 37110. Interment will be in Hills Creek Cemetery, McMinnville, TN.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
