Obituary for James Cohen James “Jimmy” Allen Cohen, born on September 3, 1967 died in Troy, MO on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the age of 51. Preceded in death by his mother Carolyn (Sherman) Cohen, grandparents Maurice and Nettie Cohen, and Ruth and Harry Sherman. James is survived by his father, Jordan Cohen (Bernice), his children Christopher, William, and Tommy, his sister Linda Kliethermes (David), niece Hanna and nephew Matthew, step-brother Scott Huber, step-sister Kelly Huber (Eugene), Toni Morgan (Steve), and Shannon Gillespie (Jeff), along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and dear friends, colleagues, and his best 4-legged friend, Russell the Alaskan Malamute.

Jimmy graduated from Parkway North High School in St. Louis Missouri in 1985 then went on to attend Missouri State University, obtaining his degree in Accounting. Jimmy had a passion for life and was happiest when he was keeping busy at work, traveling, working out, or enjoying outdoors engaging in everything from fishing, boating, hunting and snow skiing, to enjoying his recreational vehicles at his farm. He shared all these activities with endless amounts of friends and family, and of course, Russell.

Jimmy was truly one of a kind, and we are all saddened by his sudden death. He will be deeply, deeply missed by many. Visitation Friday, March 15 from 3-7:00 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:00pm at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road, Kirkwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
