Obituary of James Lane Bedford – James E. Lane, 69, of Bedford, died at 5:48 pm on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his residence. Born February 6, 1949 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Herschel and Lois (Beasley) Lane. He retired from G.E. in Bloomington as a controlman and mechanic.

Survivors include a daughter, Missy Chambers and husband, Eric a son, Scott Lane and wife, Juanita, all of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Matthew Allen, Breanna, and Logan Chambers, Amanda, Alex, and Josh Lane, and Ashley Mathews; two great grandchildren, Rain and Coal Allen; two brothers, Mike Lane and wife, Janice, of Bedford, and Jerry Lane, of Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby Lane. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, December 17th at Hopkins Cemetery.
