Obituary of James Homwey, Jr. James “Jim” Homwey, Jr., 67, of Woodland Park, passed away on October 5, 2018. Jim was born on December 9, 1950 in Paterson, NJ to the late James and Antoinette (Natoli) Homwey. He proudly served in the United States Army before becoming a dedicated police officer for over 36 years, retiring as Sergeant from the Woodland Park Police Department.
He was also a member and former president of the New Jersey Honor Legion. Jim was the beloved father of Ashley Arslani and her husband Egzon “Tony” and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first grandchild who is expected in April 2019. He was the cherished brother of Robert Homwey and his wife Patricia, Grace Homwey, and Marlene Iozzio and her husband Ronald and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave. , Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson, NJ.
Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. Memorial donations for Jim may be made to the: NJ Honor Legion 45 East 5th Street Paterson, NJ 07524 www.
