Obituary of James Jayroe Jr. James Lawrence Jayroe, Jr., 68, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. Born on June 23, 1950, in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late James L. Jayroe, Sr. and the late Mary Colbert Jayroe. Mr. Jayroe was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He had a great love for cars and was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his companion, Gayle B. Jayroe; one sister, Margie Bosting; two brothers, Richard Jayroe and David Jayroe; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Jayroe and Buddy Jayroe; and one sister, Sandy Ruggerio.

Services will be held in the Florence National Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www. ridgewayfh.com Ridgeway Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements.
