OBITUARY Jana Brunner Janousek January 2, 1931 – October 7, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Jana Janousek 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 07, 2018. She was born in Czechoslovakia in 1931, the daughter of Jan Brunner and Ludmila Skala Brunner. Jana graduated from college in the early 50’s and proceeded to a career in biology.

While living in Prague, she met her future husband, Ladislav, and married in 1961. Jana moved to Houston, TX in 1968 with her husband and young son to start a new life. They lived in Jersey Village, TX for over 30 years.

Jana worked in the medical center until she retired in 1992. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, mountain climbing with her husband and had a passion for gardening. She spent the later part of her life traveling with her husband all over the world and spending time with her two grandchildren.

Jana was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ladislav, whom she was married to for over 50 years. She is survived by her son, Vit, daughter-in-law, Denise Broussard Janousek, grandson, Austin Tyler Janousek, and granddaughter, Alexis Claire Janousek, of Houston, TX; sister, Ludmila Ornstova, of Prague, Czech Republic and niece, Jana Mares and husband Michael of Prague, Czech Republic. A memorial service for Jana will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
