Jane P. Freiters, age 76 of Chicora, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, surrounded by her family in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler. She was born December 3, 1942 in Apollo, Armstrong County the daughter of the late Floyd and Margaret Turner Snyder. She worked at Magnetic’s in East Butler 42 years; her last job there was as a Bobbin Winder.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora; she enjoyed gambling at the casinos and being with family, friends, and going to parties; and in her younger years she particularly liked square dancing. Jane is survived by her husband Charles A. Freiters, whom she married July 29, 1978. Two sisters: Laura and Harry ‘Gene’ Wiles of East Brady; Martha and Frank Kennedy of Renfrew, a brother Donald ‘Duke’ and Rita Snyder of Cabot, a sister-in-law Rose Snyder of Chicora, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by brothers: John Snyder, Ray Snyder, and an infant brother. Friends received at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, Corner of 111 Main and E. Slippery Rock Streets, Chicora, PA 7-9 p.m. Thursday, February, 21, and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to time of service at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, PA. with Reverend Joseph Boomhower officiating Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery, State Route 268, Chicora, PA.
