Obituary for Jane Walter Knotts Jane Walters Knotts, age 80, of Ruidoso, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 3:45 pm in El Paso, Texas. Jane and her twin sister, June, were born on September 6, 1938 in Dallas, Texas. Jane grew up in Overton, Texas where she graduated from Overton High School in 1956.

During her time at Kilgore Junior College, Jane and her sister followed their passion for dance to become officers in the famous dance team, the Kilgore Rangerettes. After earning her B.A. in Education at the University of North Texas, Jane had a successful career as an educator for over thirty years. In retirement she moved to Ruidoso where she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her daughter Catherine Raney (Chris) of Frisco, TX; daughter Kimberly Hicks of Denver, CO; twin sister and June Leslie (Donald) of Ruidoso, NM; nephew Donald George Leslie of Albuquerque, NM; niece Julie Fuchs (Eric) of Littleton, CO; nephew Douglas Leslie of Austin, TX; and her beloved grandchildren Carson Raney, Cooper Raney, Hudson Hicks, Marco Hicks, and Charley Hicks. Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Episcopal Church of the Holy Mount, 121 Mescalero Trail, Ruidoso, NM 88345.
