Janet G. DeMuro, 96, passed away surrounded by her family on November 13, 2018. She was born on May 4, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri to Elza and Grace (Long) Losey. Janet served proudly in the United States Navy and was a member of WAVES.

In addition, she was a Teacher’s Assistant at Sunshine Elementary School in Miramar, FL and a volunteer at both Cape Canaveral Hospital in Coco Beach, FL and Ocala Regional Medical Center, Ocala, FL. Janet was a former member of Orange Springs Baptist Church, Orange Springs, FL and a current member of Unity Baptist Church, Ocala, FL. She is survived by daughters, Patricia D. Freal (Bill), Janet Grace Fields (Albert) and Carol Lynn Michaels (Steve); nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Her loving husband, Pasqualè, predeceased her in 2006. A memorial service will be at 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2018 at Unity Baptist Church, with Pastor Samuel Clements officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
