OBITUARY Janet L. Hovermale November 3, 1934 – January 1, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Janet Loretta (Hutzell) Hovermale, 84 of Martinsburg was born November 3, 1934 in Boonsboro, Maryland to Floyd and Hazel (Jones) Hutzell. She passed away on January 1, 2019 in Willow Tree Manor in Charles Town, West Virginia. Janet loved to host large family gatherings for the holidays and bake cookies with all the kids.
She really enjoyed her career as business owner of several different businesses: Woods Superette in Hedgesville and then with her husband ran Janalon Mower Repair and Small engine shop. She was also a secretary at Eastern Product in Hagerstown and 1st employee at Pennsylvania Wire Rope Corp of Martinsburg. She retired from Steptoe and Johnson in the late 90’s.
Janet is survived by her two sons; David G. Thomas Jr. and wife, Lisa, Timothy Paul Thomas and wife, Norma; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brothers Gerald Hutzell of Hagerstown and Montique Hutzell of Inwood and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands: D. Glenn Thomas, Glenville V. Braithwaite and Leon G. Hovermale; brother, Floyd T. Hutzell and sister Theresa Phillips. Family will receive friends on Thursday January 3, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home with services at the Funeral Home on Friday January 4, 2019 at 11 am.
Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
