Janet Myrtle Main, age 63, of Mt. Hope, WV, formerly of the Washington, PA area, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV after having been in declining health for some time. Born September 22, 1954 in Washington, PA Janet was a daughter of the late Lee Craig Main and Mary Adelaide (Lamb) Main formerly of West Alexander, PA.

Janet graduated from McGuffey High School and earned her Associates Degree from Duffs Business Institute. She most recently worked in the office for Bud Bear and as Office Manager at Tomsic Motor Company in Washington, PA. She was a member of West Alexander Methodist Church in West Alexander, PA.

She spent the last years of her life in Mount Hope, WV where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included quilting, playing and singing church hymns on the piano, and helping others. She is survived by her two daughters, Marcy Marie Hunter of Covington, KY and Lauren Renee Hicks (Travis) of Mount Hope, WV; three grandchildren, Levi Parker Hicks, Logan Wrangler Hicks, and Aspen Adelaide Hicks all of Mount Hope, WV; two brothers, Marvin Wade Main and Joseph Lee Main (Nancy) all of Alliance, OH; one sister, Linda Adelaide Bland (John) of West Alexander, PA as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Wayne Main, and one sister, Ada Lee Main. Janet’s request for cremation has been honored by her family, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Professional services have been provided to the family with the guidance of Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Morgantown, WV.
