Michael Swierz officiating for Janice Bricillo age 73, of Hubbard who passed away at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House on Monday April 29, 2019. Janice was born April 7, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Dominic & Elizabeth A. Marino Bricillo.

She was a 1964 graduate of Hubbard High School and a graduate of Choffin Career and Technical Center. Janice was an LPN at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Youngstown for 50 years retiring in 2011, and a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. In 2004, Janice started a Comfort Cupboard for her home care patients to which she was awarded the first-ever “Excellence in Mission” award for her work.

In that same year she was a finalist for “Albert E. Dyckes Healthcare Worker of the Year Award”. She will be sadly missed by her family; her niece, whom she raised, Joanna (Bob) Freiberg of Horizon City, Texas, and several nieces, nephews and many beloved friends. She also leaves her sister Rosemary Hajduk of Toledo.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Gene Bricillo. There will be calling hours prior to the Mass on Friday May 3, 2019 from Noon to 2 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Janice’s memory to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Street Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
