Janice’s Obituary Janice Lana Webb, 79, Passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, and homemaker. Lana, as most knew her, loved her life because she loved her family.

The daughter of a 20 year Coast Guard veteran, she was born on Hatteras Island, NC. She grew up with 4 siblings in the Virginia Beach area. After graduating from Virginia Beach High School, she married a young sailor, Charles Webb and moved to Indiana to start their family.

Lana enjoyed being a homemaker and raising 3 children. She had so many talents and hobbies to keep her busy; she enjoyed writing, painting, crocheting, quilting, crafting and bowling to name a few. Lana was never without a book, reading was always a favorite pastime.

Lana lived a full life in Indiana but felt fortunate, with her kids grown, when her husband retired in 1983 and they moved to the Outer Banks of NC, near her siblings once again. The sun, beach and a book was where you would find her. In their small community she spent time as a volunteer firefighter, working and making great friends and more memories with her family.

In 2002 after being widowed, Lana moved to the desert in southern California to be close to her youngest daughter and her 3 youngest grandchildren. Lana spent time with her grandchildren there and continued with her hobbies, taking time to travel and visit other family whenever she could. Lana was loved by all who knew her as a sweet and gentle soul.

She will be missed but remembered through her love all who knew her felt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Webb and sister, Susie Freeman. She is survived by her brother, Charlie Robinson, her sisters, Andrea Williams and Vickie Carson and children, Donald Webb, Kathryn Able, and Deborah Rogers; nine grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
