OBITUARY Janice Lynn Massey October 22, 1943 – January 3, 2019 Born October 22, 1943 Janice Lynn Massey of Harrison Twp. , MI passed away suddenly Thursday January 3, 2019 at 75 years of age. Janice lived a very rich life.

Rich with the love of her family and friends; rich from her collection of sea shells and sand from every beloved trip to the beach; rich from every bloom from her green thumb. Her richness came not from money, but from the way she lived her life. She had a vivacious, sassy personality and a love for life.

A fondness of shopping and an elegant style. There is no place we can go in this world that we will not forever be reminded of her presence. She was strong-willed and a hard worker.

She was a great mom, grandmother and wife who gave freely of her time, energy and love. Janice had a genuine kindness and never met a stranger. She was the life of the party and our lives will never be the same but we ourselves are rich with all of the times we’ve shared with her and the memories she has left with all of us.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Charles Massey; parents, Rufus and Myrtle Darnell; sister, Monnie “Irene” Helton; and brothers, Cecil and Don Darnell. Those left to cherish her memories include son, Kenneth “Todd” (Candace) Massey; daughter, Tawnya (James) Buchtel; granddaughter, Alicia Massey (Alex Errington); grandsons, Josh, Austin and Julian Massey; brother, Earl “JC” (Helen) Darnell; as well as aunts, many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, fur babies and lifelong friends. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday (January 12th, 2019).

Also on Sunday (January 13th, 2019) from noon to 1:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Garnie Snavely officiating.

Committal services will be held on Sunday (January 13, 2019) at 2:00 p.m. at Mausoleum III at East Lawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made to the Massey family at www. eastlawnkingsport.com.
