SOUTHWICK-Janice Mae Besaw, 70, a longtime resident of Southwick, MA peacefully passed on Sunday, September 30, 2018, after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. Janice passed away at her home surrounded by the people she loved most, her devoted family. She was born on May 30, 1948, in Westfield, MA to Earl and Jenny (Williams) LaBombard.
Janice married the love of her life, her husband, James Besaw on December 20, 1966. Soon after she began working at Noble Medical Center in the house cleaning department. She eventually worked her way up to Central Supply.
Later in her career, Janice earned her certification as an Operating Room Anesthesiologist Technician, where she proved to be a valuable and honored employee until the time of her retirement from Noble Medical Center. Janice took great pride in her home and family. She enjoyed decorating her home and was willing to take on any project to make her home a more comfortable place to receive family and friends.
Her family meant to world to Janice, she enjoyed hosting Sunday and Holiday Dinners surrounded by the people she loved most. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, snowshoeing, swimming, and biking. Janice was a humble friend to many, always kind, considerate, and easy to talk to.
She is predeceased by her father Earl LaBombard and her brother David LaBombard. Janice leaves her husband of 51 years, James Besaw of Southwick, MA, her son Mathew Besaw and his fiancée Ashley Sadowski of Agawam, MA, her daughter Brenda Brown and her husband Robert Brown of Southwick, MA, her mother Jenny LaBombard of Southwick, MA, her brother Ronald LaBombard and his wife Lynn of Westfield, MA, her sister Diane LaBombard and her partner Edward Jerin of Southwick, MA, her grandchildren: Erica Rossini, Robert Brown and his wife Danielle, Andrew Brown and his wife Maegan, Grayson Besaw, and Audrina and Sophia Sadowski; her great-grandchildren Kaylee Rossini and Lorelai Brown, her sister-in-law Florence LaBombard of Southwick, MA, her brother-in-law Fred Besaw and his wife Marlene of West Springfield, MA, along with many other family members and close friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marissa Finn from Sister Caritas Cancer Center for the devoted care and friendship she showed Janice and her entire family.
