Funeral services for Janice Sue (Adkins) Runyon, 82, will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Trinity Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor. Friends will be received 3:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 19th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Janice was born July 23, 1936 in Williamson, West Virginia to William and Alice (West) Adkins.

She passed away December 16, 2018 in Mentor. She married her husband, Clyde Runyon Sr. March 23, 1955. A caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she valued her family above all else.

Cooking and baking were her passion, and her biscuits & gravy and peach delight were legendary. She worked for the family business, Runyon and Sons Roofing, as the office manager, retiring in 2003. Janice was a member of Trinity Church and was very active.

Janice is survived by her sons, Clyde C. (Amy) Runyon Jr., William S. (Jean) Runyon, Tommy (Jacqueline) Runyon, James (Chris) Runyon; brother, Warner Adkins; grandchildren, Scott (Diane), Katie (Marc), Todd (Heather), Margaret, August and Gage; great grandchildren, Mason, Hadley, Maddox, Colette, Natalie, Graham, Tristan, Aiden and Nathan. She also leaves many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. Runyon Sr.; her parents; and siblings, Margaret, Jean, William and Thelma. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave.
