Janis’ Obituary Janis Ann “Jan” Ostendorf, 61, of Paxton passed away 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Janis was born July 14, 1957 in Corpus Christi, TX the daughter of Raymond and L. Annette Garcia Rund. She married Tadd Ostendorf July 26, 1976 in Urbana. He survives.

Along with her husband, Tadd, she is survived by one daughter, Richelle (Andy) Hudson of Paxton; one son, Ian (Lindsey) Ostendorf of Paxton; seven grandchildren, Sean, Anna, and Evan Hudson, Joey Chickini, Layla, Curtis, and Cole Ostendorf; and two sisters, Crystal (Bill) Davis of Tuscola, Robin (Mark) Sullivan of Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Stephen Rund. Jan spent her childhood in the Tuscola and Hume area and graduated from Shiloh High School in 1975.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paxton. Jan worked at Busey Bank, Paxton for 23 years and Just Hamburgers for the past year. She enjoyed reading, camping and traveling.

Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the family or an organization of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be offered at www.
