Obituary for Jay A. Wilson Jay A. Wilson, age 89, of Homeworth, went home to be with the Lord at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born September 25, 1927 in Tague, West Virginia to Jay Arnett Hamric and Allie Gay Wilson. Jay found the Lord in 1966 and become a member of First Baptist Church.

He also worked for Clem Lumber for over 10 years and retired as a foreman at Alliance Wholesalers. A good ‘ol West Virginia boy, Jay enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving honorably during WWII.

He is survived by his children, Sandra (Paul) Legg of Homeworth, Gary (Val Bishop) Wilson of Reno, Nevada and Larry (Joe) Wilson of Limaville; grandchildren, David Scott (Hilarie) Cutting, Joshua Wilson, Jaye and Jena Legg; great grandchildren, Tyler Cutting, Caden Stewart, Allie Masselli, Raven Wilson and one more on the way; and brother, Ed (Wanda) Stout. He was preceded in death by his mother; his wife of 62 years, Eula (Dennison) Wilson, who passed away in 2011; infant daughter, Barbara June Wilson; and sister, Elva Mae Carpenter. A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Rhodes officiating.
