Jayne (Barry) Condo Chrystal, born September 14, 1949 to the late William and Mary (O’Reilly) Barry, passed away peacefully on December 11. Jayne was a lifelong resident of Columbus. She attended St. Francis DeSales High School and graduated from Ohio Dominican College with a degree in Education.

She was a longtime member of St. Anthony Church and volunteered with the League Against Child Abuse and St. Francis DeSales Alumni Association. Growing up, Jayne was especially close to her late aunts, Helen and Catherine O’Reilly, who cultivated in her a fierce loyalty to family and traditions. Jayne loved motorcycles and was a well-known figure in the Ohio racing scene.

She was a devoted mother and a talented photographer. She loved Ohio State football, and spending time with her children and their friends. She is survived by her son Nicholas Condo of Marysville and daughter Elizabeth Condo of Raleigh, NC; their spouses Deanna Condo and Brian O’Shea; and grandchildren Joshua Condo, Juliana Condo and Rowan O’Shea.

Jayne will be best remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength and adventurous spirit. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel 4661 Kenny Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church 1300 Urban Dr. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
