Jayne M. Hamilton (Starkey) went home to our Heavenly Father Saturday, October 6, 2018. Jayne was born October 17, 1934 in Clarkdale, Az to Edward and Dorothy Starkey. She attended Clarkdale High School then went on to graduate from ASU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

Jayne was a fourth grade teacher at Marshall Elementary School in Flagstaff for 22 years. She then retired from teaching and went to work for the State of Arizona. She was a very active member of The American Legion, serving as Treasurer for many years.

She was also a Lions Club member for several years. One of Jayne’s passions and favorite past times was bowling. She was a League Bowler for many years in Flagstaff and Globe and she loved watching every kind of sport on television.

Her favorites of course were the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phoenix Suns, and the Arizona Cardinals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Hamilton and her brother Lou Starkey. Jayne is survived by her four children, Jeff (Sue) Allen, Hank (Nelma) Allen, Jennifer (Steve) Rickner, and Jacque Allen-Sanchez; two sisters, Mary (Mike) Beal-Bercham, and Pat Fairfield; five grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, CJ, Brian and Ashlee, and one great grandchild, James.
