Jean A. Jones – Gibson, age 75, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 9:56am at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky. Jean was born on April 24, 1944 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Robert and Wanda (Gerlach) Jones, both of whom are deceased. She was once married to Charles Cozad of Kenton, Ohio.

She then married Glenn Gibson and he survives and lives in Upper Sandusky. She is survived by a son: John Joseph Cozad of Benton, Washington, and 2 daughters: Jerelyn Jolene (Mike) Rathburn of Carey, and Lorraine A. Dietz of Kenton. 2 stepsons: Duane (Kelly) Gibson of Upper Sandusky, and Dean Gibson of Newark, Ohio, and 2 step daughters: Diane (Chip) Conley of Carey, and Dorraine Gibson of Bucyrus.

6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. Jean is also survived by a brother Robert Jones of Bellefontaine, and 2 sisters, Joyce Rumer of Belle Center, Ohio, and Sandy Ludwig of St. Helen, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Adam Collet, step grandson Cory Hill, 3 brothers: Charles, Marvin and Bill Jones, and 4 sisters: Patty Hollis, Lois Hougendoubler, Peggy Ryan, and Rose Peters.

Jean was a homemaker and also worked along with her husband Glenn, with driving truck for many years. She also worked as an aide in nursing home care and had worked for the former Budd Company in Carey. She was a member of New Hope Church in Kenton, and a former member of the Moose Lodge #1093, and the American Legion Post #25 Ladies Auxiliary, both located in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies Jean enjoyed going to casinos and playing scratch offs, and also taking care of her dogs through the years, EB, Whiskers, Oreo and Cookie. She will be remembered for her caring heart for others and her love of her children and grandchildren. They were her world along with her special relationship with her sister Joyce.

She will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Jean Gibson will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, May 26, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jason Manns officiating.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, May 26, from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyandot County Humane Society and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
