Jean Ann Koegler (nee Layton), of Clearwater Beach, FL, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at age 96. She earned both a BFA and BS from Carnegie-Mellon University, and she founded the South Hills Alumnae Association of the Kappa Kappa Gammas.

She remained active in the Kappas and the Panhellenic Association throughout her life. Her volunteer activities, too numerous to mention, included membership in the St. Clair Memorial Hospital Auxiliary spanning four decades. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, the Honorable Walter A. Koegler, and her granddaughter, Verity.

She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Karen L. Koegler and Claire A. Koegler; her nephews, James H. Layton III and Dr. Richard W. Layton; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Interment was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. “She is greatly loved and sorely missed”.
