OBITUARY Jean C. Premuroso April 26, 1938 – July 16, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Jean Carter Premuroso Jean Louise Carter Vigue Premuroso passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on July 16, 2018, in Palm Beach Gardens. Jean was born in Portland, ME, to Marjorie and Lewis Carter on April, 26, 1938. She spent her childhood in Bath, ME, where she loved animals, wrote poetry and played the saxophone, graduating from Morse High School, in Bath.

In 1957, she married David D. Vigue and they were blessed with five children. She relocated to Manchester, CT, pursued her education at Mitchell College in New London, CT, and worked for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT, eventually transferring to the West Palm Beach plant. Jean was always actively involved in her church community as a lector, Eucharistic minister and RCIA and CCD instructor.

While attending a pancake breakfast after church one Sunday morning, Jean met “Mr. Wonderful”, Ray Premuroso. They were married in 1986 and shared nearly 32 years of love and happiness. Jean developed a passion for Ray’s love of sports, often attending FSU football games or their grandchildren’s baseball games.

Jean is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ray, her children, Dennis Vigue (Carmela) of HI, David Vigue (Sandra) of CT, Teresa Jean Harrs of WPB, Martin Vigue (Terri) of CT, and James Vigue of WV, step-children Ronald Premuroso (Sherri) of MT, Richard Premuroso of Jupiter, Raymond Premuroso (Laura) of PBG and Robert Premuroso (Lynda) of PBG. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Carter of Palmetto, FL, and sisters Mary Franklin (Pat) of MA, and Morgan Deross Keene of HI, the granddaughter she and Ray raised, Shaina DeToma (Mark) of MA, and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visitation and remembrance on Thursday, July, 19, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL ph:(561) 858-9641.

A funeral mass will be performed on Friday, July 20, at 11:00 AM at St. Clare’s Roman Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Care Center, Trustbridge Hospice Services or any charity with special meaning to you.
