Obituary for Jean C. Pyeatt Jean Campbell Pyeatt (Purvis) passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at her home at the age of 95. She was born on August 25, 1923 to Arthur Purvis and Rebecca Jane Campbell Purvis. Jean was the youngest child of her parents.

She graduated from Patton Academy in 1941. In 1942, she went to Washington D.C. to work for the government and later going over to the Pentagon building, working for Adjutant General in Secret and Confidential files. She met her Navy man, Alford Lavon Pyeatt in Washington D.C., married in 1944.

In 1945, she moved to Los Angeles, CA where her husband was working. She worked in serval places while there. In 1962 they moved to Oregon, spent 25 years there before retiring from Newport Police Department.

She and her husband traveled around the states, Canada and Mexico then decided to settle down in Kingston, OK where they purchased a small farm. In 2002, Mr. Pyeatt passed, she continued to live on the farm until 2014, then moving to Baptist Village. She is survived by two daughters Connie Clarneau of Deer Trail, CO and Cheryl Winslow of Kingston, OK, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, several nieces, great nieces and nephews, and her her dear friend, Jack Hendrix of Kingston, OK.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, two brothers, two sisters, one grandchild and three nephews. Funeral Service will be Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2:00PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Madill, OK with Pastor Karen Slater officiating. Family Hour will be starting at 1:00 PM before the service.
