Obituary for Jean Elaine Schomer Jean Elaine Schomer, age 83 of Madison Heights, Michigan, passed away December 14, 2018. She was born April 22, 1935 to Franklin and Gladys Cagle in Bristol, Tennessee. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Sr. Dear mother of Brenda (Michael) Moffett, Cynthia (Thomas) Brockway and the late Ernest Schomer Jr

She is survived by siblings Howard (Pat) Cagle, Joseph (Michelle) Cagle and Linda Bryant. She is also predeceased by several siblings. Loving grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Jean graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1953. She married Ernest Schomer in 1954. She worked at the Kresge department store in Royal Oak and spent all of her adult life devoted to her family.

She was a life long member and commander of the DAV Auxiliary Chapter 19, Berkley, Michigan. She was also a devout Christian. Visitation will be Friday, December 21st from 3-9 pm with the funeral service to be held at 7 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights (one block north of 13 Mile Road on the west side of John R Road).
