Jean H. Hart, a lifelong resident of the Dover area, died July 7, 2018, at Country Rest Home in Greenwood. She was 91. Jean was born March 18, 1927 near Wyoming, DE, to the late, James R. & Beatrice V. Hubbard.

She was the beloved wife, companion, and best friend for 69 wonderful years to her husband, Leon. Jean had been a secretary for T.W.A., the State of Delaware, and the Dover Air Force Base in her early years, before becoming the general manager of the family package store in Dover before her retirement. She enjoyed her leisure years by traveling, antiquing, doing flower arrangements, and was equally at home racing four wheel Jeeps in cross-country events; winning top driver awards two years in a row.

Her time off was spent at her favorite beach house in Rehoboth for the summer and became a well known beach bum. Jean is survived by her husband M. Leon Hart; her daughter, JoAnne H. Ogden & husband, Stanley, of Hatfield, PA. ; Two Granddaughters, and Five Great-Grandchildren.

The family extends their Thanks to the Administration and Staff at the Country Rest Home, for the love and care extended to her during her brief stay. Services are Private for the convenience of the family, at a later date. Condolences may be sent via: www.
