Obituary for Jean Preston Kight Jean Preston Kight passed away peacefully on April 25, 2018. She led a long full life with a rosy outlook, found something positive in everyone and could turn a quick errand into hours long conversation with a stranger. She began her adventure on November 16, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio where she learned from her family about goodness and love.

After graduating from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri she married and settled in Worthington, Ohio to raise a family of five children. ‘’The Blueberry Box” her nickname for the family blue Volkswagen Van is where she spent countless hours driving the children to sports, activities, games with humor and patience. Outside of her family, Jean had time for her dear friends, travel, P.E.O., a women’s philanthropic organization and serving on the Board of Trustees of The Worthington Public Library.

Jean’s five children adored her and her belief in making the best of life, making friends and her ability to hold a tête-à-tête anywhere. Her children will be retelling her lively stories with smiles and tears. Jean’s children; Steve Kight (Stephanie) Grandview, Ohio; Tim Kight (Brenda) Dublin, Ohio; Patty Kight Tiso (Steve) Irvine, California; Pete Kight (Terri) Desert Mountain, Arizona and Jeff Kight Dublin Ohio.

Service will be private. If desired, donations can be made to Worthington Columbus Metropolitan Library. Jean loved reading AA Milne to her children.
