Jean Webster Craven, 73 of Sanford passed away Sunday December 9, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Craven was born in Lee Co the daughter of Marion G. Craven and Arlene Webster Craven. She was a graduate of Meredith College and worked for many years with the NC Employment Security Commission. Mrs. Craven is survived by her daughter, Laura Joy Wren Craven and her dad, John Lipscomb of Sanford; one sister, Susanne Schmidt (Sam) of VA; two nieces Dorothy Key and Jennifer Schmidt.

The family will greet friends at 1:00pm Friday prior to the Funeral at 2:00pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1300 Baxter Street, Suite 150, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204. Donations may be made to: American Diabetes Assn.
