Jeana Lynne (Thompson) Larson was born on May 1st, 1976 in Atlanta, Georgia. She passed away on September 30th, 2018, peacefully and surrounded by family. Infinitely strong, she truly conquered her cancer by living a full and happy life despite her illness.

Jeana was the oldest of six children and was a leader and caretaker since childhood. She had a naturally nurturing and compassionate demeanor and approach to life and helped care for her siblings from a young age. She enjoyed dancing, particularly clogging and ballroom, and was a championship clogger as a teenager.

She always loved to serve and help other people. She found pleasure doing crafts, reading, watching Hallmark movies, and she always made the best desserts. She loved spending time with her family and serving in her church callings in primary and in the young women’s program, where she made many close friends.

Jeana met Glen when she was 20 years old, and they have been married for 21 years. It was clear from the beginning that Jeana and Glen were meant to be together. They were sealed in the Jordan River LDS Temple on March 22nd, 1997.

Jeana loved children and had always wanted to be a mother. She and Glen have four sweet daughters, whom have blessed and brightened their family’s life. They represent one her greatest accomplishments.

Jeana had a deep love for her family and friends. She was warm, loving, and made endless sacrifices to ensure her loved ones were taken care of. She thrived on positivity and, even in her last days, was constantly reminding those around her to stay positive, smile, and continue to find joy.

Her concern and love for her girls and her family permeated all conversations. We have no doubt that she has now received an important calling in her spiritual existence and will continue to play a very real and important role in the lives of her husband and daughters. Jeana is survived by her husband, Glen, and daughters Jennifer (16), Courtney (14), Ashley (12), and Katie (9), grandfather Donald Cummings, parents David and DeAnn Thompson, siblings Jamie (Patrick) Murphy, Brian (Justinea) Thompson, Mike (Allison) Thompson, Ricky (Megan) Thompson, and Juliann (Trent Bradshaw) Thompson, along with many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Callis and Jewel Thompson and grandmother Norma Cummings. There will be a viewing on Thursday, October 4th from 7:00 to 9:00pm and Friday, October 5th from 10:00 to 10:45am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel located at 12737 S. 6000 W. Herriman, UT 84096. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am on Friday, October 5th.

Interment will be at Midway City Cemetery, 600 W 500 S, Midway, UT 84049. Flowers may be delivered to 12737 S. 6000 W. Herriman, UT 84096 on Thursday at 6pm. Finally, we ask those whom are going through hard times to remember one of her favorite quotes, “It is your reaction to adversity, not the adversity itself, that determines how your life’s story will develop”.
