Jeanne J. (Cerveny) Skoog, 90, died on February 11, 2019. Born on August 12, 1928, Jeanne was the youngest child of Joseph and Josephine (Hruby) Cerveny. She grew up in Chicago, graduating from Farragut High School there in 1947.

Shortly after graduation, she began working as a proofreader for RR Donnelley, where she met her future husband, Robert Skoog. They were married on June 10, 1952. During their 60 years of marriage, Jeanne and Bob lived in Berwyn, Illinois; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Westchester,… Illinois; and Downers Grove, Illinois.

For the past six years she was a resident of Belmont Village in Scottsdale, Arizona. Always proud of her Czech roots, Jeanne was an active member of the Ceske Beseda Club. She was also an active member of the Downers Grove Women’s Club.

Jeanne was preceded in death by Bob, her parents, her sisters Helen and Blanche, and her brother Joseph. She is survived by her son Mark (Brigid), daughter Sharon, granddaughter Catharine (William Jolly) and grandson Joseph. Visitation Sunday, February 17th, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service Monday, February 18th, 10:00 a.m. at Adams-Winterfield and Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main Street (1 blk.
