OBITUARY Jeannette Ann Armstead October 22, 1947 – October 8, 2018 Jeannette Ann Carper Armstead, 70, of Huntsville, AL, died on October 8, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her devoted husband and loving family. Jan was a native West Virginian, a long-time resident of St. Albans, and an avid Mountaineer fan.

She joins her parents Bruce and Gene Carper and her brother Dave Carper in heaven. Jan is survived by her husband of 48 years, Waitman W. “Coggie” Armstead; sister, Connie Coleman of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Lori (Matt) Brannon of Pinch, WV, and Lisa (Chris) Allport of Huntsville, AL; and her grandchildren, Sarah, Nathan, Caleb and Benjamin Allport and Audrey Brannon. A visitation will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rock Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to: Lakeview United Methodist Church, 2624 East Parkview Drive, St. Albans, WV 25177. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.
