Jeffrey Burton Thorpe, 72, of Girard, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at his residence. Jeff was born March 3, 1947 in Lowellville, Ohio, the son of Burton E. Thorpe Jr. and June (Durbin) Marrow. Jeff had worked for W. T. Pettit & Sons Co. as a welder and had served his country in the US Navy.

He was a member of the A.R.C. Club and the I.F.H. Club in Girard. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Burton R. Thorpe Sr., of Struthers, and Robert A. Thorpe, of Las Vegas, Nevada, his grandson, Burton R. Thorpe Jr., brother, Richard (Janice) Thorpe Sr., of Wickcliffe, Ohio, step sister, Sherry Grant and step brothers, Barry McMann and Bobbie McMann. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 3-5 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home, in Girard.
