Jeffrey L. Speight Sr. November 22, 1941- September 13, 2018 Died peacefully at his home in Rockvile Centre, N.Y. after fighting the bravest battle aganist ALS over the past few years. Jeffrey grew up in Tarrytown, N.Y. and graduated from Sleepy Hollow High School. He met and married the love of his life Madeline and moved to Long Island to start his family and career.

Being a self made man, his ground breaking achievements in the field of Technology were inspirational. He enjoyed working at National Bank of North America, Natwest, and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. After DLJ, he founded and acted as principal officer for Contour Communications, Contour Group, and Contour Realty.

Jeffrey was also a very proud board member of Bulldog Gin. However, even with such a steller career, his greatest achievements in life occurred as a loving husband, brilliant father and exceptional Pop. Jeffrey is survived by his beautiful wife of 49 years Madeline, daughter Joyce Olesen (Philip), son Jeffrey Jr. (Melissa), daughter Jessica Pappagallo (Robert), six grandchildren, brother Jack, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Alice and John Speight, and his many loving canine companions. Per Mr. Speight’s final request there will be no formal funeral service and interment will be a private event. Not a day will go by when he isn’t thought of and missed by his family.

His incredible good looks, fashion sense, fantastic sense of humor, sage advice and above all enormous heart will never be forgotten.
