Obituary for Jennie Ruth Allen Jennie Allen, 77, of Reidsville, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, VA. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 30th at Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville, NC. A reception will follow at the home of Linda Hodge.

The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville, NC from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Jennie was a native of Farmville, NC where she graduated from Farmville Central High School and met the love of her life, Irving Coy Allen. They were married in 1961 and moved to Washington, DC and Sanford, NC before settling in Reidsville, NC.

She enjoyed working in her yard and beautiful flower gardens. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat Heath; husband of 55 years, Irving Coy Allen; sisters, Kathy Heath and Cindy Heath. She is survived by her son, Irving “Coy” Allen, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Blacksburg, VA; grandchildren, Cora and Annie Allen; brothers, Phil Perdew and wife, Judy, of Boardman, OH, Danny Perdew of Fayetteville, NC, Butch Heath and wife, Danielle of Farmville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1300 Progress Street, NW, Blacksburg, VA 24060.
