Obituary for Jennie Smole Jennie Smole, age 89, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 10, 2018. She was born in Dolenja Brezovica, Slovenia on October 17, 1928 to the late Jože and Marija Mazi. Jennie was the loving mother of Marie (David) Kushner and Frank (Kathy) Smole; a proud grandmother of Matthew Kushner, Samuel Kushner, Andrew Smole, and Nathan Smole; a cherished sister of Gabriel (Sophie) Mazi; and sister-in-law of Majda Mazi.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Frank Smole; and her siblings, Gabriela, Jože, Marija, Jožefa (Pepca), Matija, Janez, and Franc. Jennie’s grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed by not only her family, but her former neighbors in Willowick and St. Vitus Village and her former coworkers at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Wickliffe.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Monreal Funeral Home 35400 Curtis Blvd. Eastlake. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 14, 2018 at St Mary’s Collinwood 15519 Holmes Ave.
