Obituary for Jennifer Anne Mellon Jennifer Anne Mellon, age 44, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, in Grand Junction, CO. She was born April 15, 1974 in Monroe, MI to Bruce and Kay Bell. Her father passed away when she was young and they moved to Montrose, CO where her mother married Steve Fisher.

Her last name changed to Fisher after Steve adopted her and her brother. Jennifer graduated from Montrose High School in 1992 and later moved to Grand Junction in 2013. She married the love of her life, Brian Mellon, on March 17, 2015, in Fruita, CO.

They were together a total of 5 years. Jennifer worked in food service as well as serving as an office specialist in their company Extra Hands Labor. She loved her horses and other animals.

She enjoyed camping and going on exciting adventures with her husband where she took many photos of their voyages. Jennifer was very active inside and outside her church, Canyon View Vineyard Church. She and Brian also started Warriors of Faith Military Ministries in 2015.

She was dedicated to Veterans, especially their spouses and children. Jennifer took after her mother Kay’s love/addiction of Christmas, earning her the nickname of Carla W. Griswold (yes, just like Chevy Chase! ) She was a beloved and dedicated wife, sister, and had a great sense of humor, after all she did marry Brian.

She gave of herself to others even when she was hurting. She always gave her Christ-loving heart to others. She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandfather, Fred Fisher; father-in-law, Michael Mellon Jr

She is survived by her loving husband Brian Mellon, children, Logan Shaw, and Calvin Shaw Jr; her two step-children Cheyanne Hoover, and Cody Mellon, Brothers Jason (Rebekah) Fisher, Dusty (Becky) Fisher, her mother-in-law Shirley Mellon, step-father Steve Fisher, uncle Skip (Sherry) Champagne, and aunts Wilma Boltz, Jean (Mark) Woodruff, Edna Bell, Donna (Gary) Meier. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15, at 12:00 Noon at Canyon View Vineyard Church, 736 24 ½ Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the family or a tax-deductible donation to Warriors of Faith Military Ministries, PO Box 336, Clifton, CO 81520.
