Jeremy’s Obituary “I don’t know how I’ll live without you, because every time I was around you I saw the best of me inside your eyes”. Jeremy Michael Kuba was born on September 16th, 1996 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Roslyn (Karpa) Kuba and George Kuba. He died May 26th, 2019 at home while laughing with his loved ones.
He fought a battle against heart disease most of his life. Jeremy graduated from Saucon Valley in 2015 where he was a varsity athlete and participated in school musicals. Jeremy was president and drum major of the SV marching band and was instrumental in the SV Red Out, supporting the American Heart Association.
Jeremy was an Occupational Therapy graduate student at Misericordia University. He was an avid athlete, enjoying basketball, volleyball, baseball and ultimate frisbee. Jeremy was an NCAA track and field athlete, setting the school record for the weight throw.
Jeremy loved helping people and was active in many community service projects. Jeremy volunteered at homeless shelters and was passionate about Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s patients. Jeremy returned home the day before his death from a medical mission trip in Jamaica where he provided and trained others to provide occupational therapy services to those in need.
Jeremy was an active member of St. Theresa Church and was often found serving in different capacities within the congregation. Jeremy was a leader. He was president of MSOTA the largest service club at MU.
Family meant everything to Jeremy. He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Lindsay Lord, and his older sister and brother Alycia English (Brian) and Austin Kuba. He was a beloved uncle to his nephew and niece, Brantley and Tara.
He is also survived by his grandmother, Sandy Karpa, his grandfather, George Kuba, Sr., his great grandmother, Irene Gehman, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. “Be the kind of person that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says, oh damn, he’s up”. - Dwayne, the Rock, Johnson SERVICE: Family and friends are invited 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street, Hellertown and 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Saturday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown.
