Jerome “Jerry” Nelson died at home, with his wife Gail, at his side, on December 14, 2018. Jerry was born in Proctor, Minnesota, graduated from Proctor High, and then attended two years at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He met and married Gail in 1957.

They then moved to St. Paul, MN where he worked on the railroad for 41 years. His most enjoyable moments were spent with family and friends at his lake home in Hill City, MN, where he enjoyed boating, swimming, fishing and hunting. Jerry and Gail retired to Mesquite, where he lived for 21 years enjoying betting on sports, with friends at the Virgin River Sports Book.

Jerry is survived by his wife; Gail, (married for 61 years), and his two sons; Lee (Linda) and Larry (Tina); and many step-brothers and sisters. As per Jerry’s request, there will not be a service.
