Jerome Michael ‘Jerry’ Maskal, 88, Jermyn, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, October 19, 2018, with his family by his side. His wife, Vera Keklak Maskal, passed Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Born Saturday, June 14, 1930, in Eynon, he was the son of Michael and Viola Alice Zelno Maskal.

Jerry was a 1948 graduate of Archbald High School, and a member of Sacred Heart Parish. He was a machinist for IAM Machinists, and a Corporal, serving the United States Army during the Korean War. Jerry enjoyed fishing, his Burger King Coffee club and traveling with his wife, Vera.

He was a great handyman and remodeled his own house. Surviving is his sister, Constance A. Yaninek of Scott Township, Heart Lake; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to send special thanks to Sinclair’s Home Care for the wonderful care they gave Jerry.

At Jerry’s request, there will be no viewing or services. Inurnment to take place at Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Louis J Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church Street, Archbald.
