Jerri Dawn DeWeese Memorial services for Jerri Deweese will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Barnsdall with Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Jerri DeWeese, age 55, of Tulsa, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at her residence in Tulsa.

Jerri was born December 3, 1963 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to John and Susie “Scat” (Sneed) DeWeese. She grew up and received her education in Barnsdall, graduating with the Class of 1982. Jerri was employed with Cherokee Nation, for 12 years.

Her biggest love was her family and numerous friends as well as the OU Sooners and because of her admiration for her favorite softball coach, Gilbert, the Chicago Cubbies. Jerri’s other passions included lighthouses, Mardi Gras, taking selfies, and anything Wizard of Oz. Jerri was preceded in death by her parents: John and Susie, Brother: Jackie Joe DeWeese, two nieces, and one nephew.

Jerri is survived by her sisters: Jonna Sue Roeser and husband Ed of Skiatook, Janetta Forbes and husband James of Barnsdall, and Janell Anthony and husband Rick of Avant, two nephews: Grant King and wife Carrie of Austin, TX, and Clinton Forbes of Norman, two nieces: Jennifer Kieffer and husband Mark of Avant, and Michelle Wilson and husband Will of Avant, two great nieces, seven great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be: Grant King, Clinton Forbes, Jennifer Kieffer, Michelle Wilson, Robert Yocham, Ronnie “Rip” Yocham and Barnsdall Class of 1982. Jerri’s family has entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
