O’Connor, age 81 of Fairview, Michigan, formerly of Ferndale, MI, passed away at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland, MI on Friday, May 17, 2019. Jerry was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 3, 1937 to John and Dorothy (Adkins) O’Connor. He worked as a truck driver for many years.

Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was beloved by his wife, children, and grandchildren, and will be missed by all. Jerry is survived by his wife Carol O’Connor; his children: Vickie May of Mio, MI; Timothy Hawley of Hazel Park, MI; Tamara Cook of Center Line, MI; David Hawley of Mio, MI; and Charmane Landreau of Sterling Heights, MI his sister Sharon (Joseph) Fisher; his brother-in-law James Douherty and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Debra Douherty. Private family viewing on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI.
