Mr. Jerry Christian Banks, age 74, of Temple passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He was born in Atlanta on Tuesday, April 25, 1944. Mr. Banks was the son of the late Johnie Christian Banks and the late Ruby Estelle (Bartlett) Banks.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Jean (Wear) Banks of Temple; four daughters and one son-in-law, Elizabeth Banks of Winston, Jessie and Kyle Davenport of Villa Rica, Wendy Flotz of Mount Zion and Heather Greene of Buford; one sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Mike Knowles of Sharpsburg, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Cameron Stephenson, Delaney Stephenson, Kyle Greene, Chase Flotz, Lauren Flotz, Joseph Flotz, Aiden Cox and Payton Banks. Mr. Jerry Banks served in the United States Navy. Later in life, he worked in several first responder capacities and departments, some of which include: Fulton County Fire Department, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Atlanta Fire Department, and various EMS services in the Atlanta area.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, Mr. Banks will be cremated. Memorial services with military honors and flag presentation will be conducted on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 4P.M. from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Homer Wysner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 3 P.M. until 4 P.M. Messages of condolence can be made to the family by signing the online guestbook.
