Obituary for Jerry Dean Doshier Jerry Dean Doshier, age 75, of Hideaway Lake, Texas, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on January 3, 1943 to the late Fred and Elva Lou (Quinalty) Doshier. On February 1st, 1964 he married the love of his life, Anice Nance, who he lovingly called “Sam”.

Together they had two daughters. Sam and his two girls were his whole life. Jerry was formerly of Lamesa, Texas and Seminole, Oklahoma before moving to Hideaway Lake in May of 2017.

Jerry was known to friends and family as “Dino” or “Red”, and to his two youngest grandsons he was “DD”. His sweet little rescue dog Gracie was his constant companion, always one step behind. To her, he was “Gampa”.

He retired from Texaco after 35 years, after which, he worked for Enerfin Res for a number of years. He made lifelong friendships with many of his coworkers. He was a Godly man of integrity who lived for his family.

Lovingly referred to as “Daddy” by his two daughters, Jerry taught his girls about the Lord at a young age, setting the foundation for their lives. Jerry’s relationship with his Savior began as a young man. He was a true servant and devoted friend to others, always there when help was needed.

Jerry never met a stranger; he would strike up a conversation with anyone and would always walk away with a new friend. Jerry’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Anice Doshier, of Hideaway Lake; 2 daughters, Heather Johnson and husband, Ken of Dallas; Holly Kennedy and husband, Kevin of Hideaway Lake; 3 brothers, Fred and Dorothy Doshier of Lindsay, Oklahoma; Ron and Jeanette Doshier of Anchorage, Alaska; Larry Doshier of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Kay and Al Contreras of Edmond, Oklahoma; Betty and Jeff Anderson of Hannibal, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Kyle Doshier Johnson of Dallas; John and James Kennedy of Hideaway Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly called him “Uncle Red”. Jerry also considered his wife’s mom and dad and her brothers and sister as his own and loved them dearly. A private family memorial for Jerry will be held at a later date.
