OBITUARY Jerry Todd Frost August 7, 1963 – September 22, 2018 Gerald (Jerry) Todd Frost 1963 — 2018 Jerry was born on August 7th, 1963 to Lawrence and Marjorie Frost in Bakersfield Ca. Jerry went home to be with the Lord on Sept 22, 2018 after a very short battle with cancer. Jerry is predeceased by his father Lawrence Arthur Frost.
He is survived by his mother Marjorie Frost, siblings: Bob and Michelle Frost, Daniel and Sara Frost, Nieces and Nephews: Sarah and William Hamilton, Brittaney and Jake Lewis, Melissa and Corey Taylor, Bobbi and Jared Schweitzer, Tyler and Brittany Frost, Nickolas Frost, Kylie Frost and Tanner Frost, his great nieces and nephews, Kamrin, Bryson, Sylas, Reece, Jaycee, Clarah, Karsyn, Carter, Sloan and Keith. Jerry graduated from West High School in 1981then went on to become a Paralegal for several years. After a while Jerry wanted a change so he became a certified driving instructor where he was able to teach most of his nieces and nephews and many more young people to drive.
Most recently he achieved his goal of being hired with the Department of Motor Vehicles where he was training at the time when he fell ill. Jerry had a love for life and was always active. He loved baseball, softball, disc golf, golfing, surfing, soccer, volley ball, biking, water skiing, hiking, and hanging out with his brothers, mom and family.
He was always the center of attention with his big heart, wonderful smile and could make us laugh even till the very end. He was always the first to offer help whenever it was needed. His family was devastated when he fell ill and rallied around him in the hospital.
They were able to take him home on Hospice Tuesday 09/18/2018. Knowing his time was short they squeezed one more Dodger game in on Wednesday 9/19/2018 especially since he was the ultimate Dodger fan. He was surrounded by his family and felt so much love before he passed.
A special thank you to Hoffman Hospice for your guidance through this time and a special thank you to Mike Moore, Jay Brown, Sheila Brown and Gordon Griesel for your love, support and help during his final days. You four were always there for him. Our hearts are broken but we take comfort in knowing he is in heaven golfing with his dad and we know this is not goodbye but see you later.
His celebration of life will be Friday 09/28/2018 at 11:00 am at New Life Church 4201 New Stine Road in the Spanish Venue Building (Corner of New Stine and White Lane). Followed by a luncheon. Please come and celebrate our dear brother for he was one in a million and we would love to visit with you and hear your classic Jerry stories.
