He was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Brenham, Texas where he accepted Christ at an early age. After graduating High School Jesse Cooper joined the military and began his life and later went on to marry Ms. Shirley Lewis and a union began.

Jesse Cooper passed away on November 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by: Parent- Roy and Ocie Mae Cooper, Mother-in-Law- Lillie Sales Sibling- Ellis, John, Travis, Sylvia, Leola, Helen, Leroy and Blonnie. He leaves to Cherish his Memories: Wife Shirley Cooper, Children Patrick Lewis(Felicia Lewis), Christina McCowan(Ernest McCowan), Dionne Lewis, Jesse Jr., Pamela Tipps( Blasco Tipps, Jr.) and Andre Cooper 6 Grandchildren Patrick Lewis, Jessica McCown, Mia Lewis, JaCorey Simon ( Marisela Aguilar), Blsco III, and Jamari Tipps, 1 Great Grandchild Mariah Marie Simon.

4 Siblings Millie Brisco(Joe Brisco), Slyvester Cooper( Betty Cooper), Nicey Bradford, Cecil Cooper(Octoavia Cooper), and Mr. Roy Washington( Linda Washington). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
