Obituary for Mr. Jim D. Young Jr Jim D. Young Jr. was born in Ashby, Alabama on April 7, 1939 to Helen and Jim Young Sr. Jim enjoyed bowling, watching sporting events, singing gospel music, gardening and managing softball teams. He was a former member of the World Series Quartet in the 60’s and 70’s. Jim was a member of Greater New Zion Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and sang in the Male Chorus.

Jim was a devoted husband of Marie, a loving father of Susan and Ronda and a cherished grandfather of Kendall and Kaylin. His memory will be cherished by all who loved him. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Mr. Jim D. Young Jr please visit our Sympathy Store.
