Obituary for Jimmie Lee Whitmire WHITMIRE, Jimmie Lee 72 of Coral Gables, Florida passed away on October 25, 2018. He was born in Augusta, GA and moved to Miami in 1954. He loved to fish and enjoyed spending time in the Keys.

He was a member of the South Florida Sport Fishing Association for over 20 years. Jimmie served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife Wendy, daughter Jennifer Whitmire, grandson Carter of MIami, Florida, sister-in-law Roxanne Poe of Lake Charles, LA, sister Linda Grant of Whitmire SC, Aunt Irene Whitmire of Whitmire, SC, nephew Travis Newsome and niece Faye Worth of Whitmire, SC.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday October 31, 2018 3:00-5:00 pm at Van Orsdel, 11220 N. Kendall Dr, Miami, Fl. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade County, 2805 SW 32 Ave, Miami FL 33133 or a charity of one’s choice.
