On April 22, 2018, Jimmie Leon Curtis of Odenton passed away peacefully at home. He was 75. Born in Silsbee, Texas, Jimmie has been a resident of Odenton since 1992.

His is survived by his wife of 42 years, Khadija D. Curtis; his children Judy Debner Curtis, Loubna Presley, Chakib L. Curtis, and Salima Badda; his brothers Tommy, Ray Gene, and Jerry Curtis; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Lovetta Curtis, his brother Buford Curtis, and his sister-in-law Linda Curtis. He proudly served his country for over 20 years as a Ship Serviceman with the United States Navy.

He then worked for the Department of Defense in the Commissary for another 20 years before retiring again. He will be remembered as a great father and a devoted family man. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
